Also, when necessary, participants will be required to handle any and all disputes and disagreements in an appropriate good sportsmanlike manner. Loud and continuous arguing, cursing, etc., including provoking and heckling another person at any time will not be tolerated! Players fighting and/or threatening others will be removed also and will also face being banned from future participation of the Program's events. No exceptions! The Program's events are intended to create an opportunity for it's participants to enjoy the fun & excitement that playing foosball and competition can provide. Those players that are continuously the center of controversy and drama will eventually be prohibited from participating. Well, I get it. Maybe one of these days they'll stick a computer and robot in these foosball tables and possibly solve this problem for the ole-timie foosball player. Until then, you can see on the "Every Week" tournament schedule that I have now listed a day and time for those just interested in showing up and potentially meeting others for a few "pick-up-play only" games with no tournament and no entry fees required. And since most all the "Hot Shot" players will be in Leads,AL for the $200 added foosball tournaments, Friday nights 7pm in Cullman,AL at German Axe Throwing, Co. might be just what the doctor ordered with anyone interested getting together with some friends for a few games and brushing up on your foosball playing skills.
Please understand, just because I scheduled it doesn't mean that people will show up. You may need to help get it started by showing up and inviting a few player friends to join you. If you'd like to see this turn into a real foosball gathering, my suggestion would be this: actually show up on time for the first night which is this coming Friday night at 7pm and then show up again for the next week or so no matter the turnouts. There are likely several players that would love to see the effort come together but what usually happens is that most fail to show up for the first night and then decide to wait and see if anyone else is showing up. Meanwhile, those that showed up for the first night will feel like only if we would have had one or two more show then it would have been fun. Then when said player finally decides to check it out and finally show up, the others that previously showed up have already decided not enough are showing so I'm not going this time. I've seen this process play out so many times over the years. And then, on a blue moon Friday night, the magic sometimes happens where the first night was good, the next week is better, and suddenly you have a outstanding weekly gathering of foosball players for potentially the next few years--and I've seen this happen on occasion as well.
The German Axe Throwing location is a fun place run by great people and they enjoy having foosball players there. Its a great place to play foosball with three very nice foosball tables currently at the location. I hope you make it on Friday nights. Hope you can make out to play foosball, Rodney Jenkins
In the city of Cullman not long ago, Jarrid Hancock and his business partners were operating and doing well with their "German Axe Throwing Company". I got a call to come and look at some space they had available that might be enough for a foosball table. Indeed there was and I stuck one in there for them and operated it for a few months. Eventually, they were able to access additional space for the business and then they got creative adding additional attractions. A mini stage was constructed for periodical live music performances, both a golf simulator booth and a mechanical bull were installed creating a lot of fun for customers, and then probably the most unique was a demolition room was created where you could suite up for safety and then go inside the room with tools of choice like a sledgehammer and then have your way totally destroying a room full of random items like TV's, computers, furniture, appliances and about anything junk you can imagine that has been brought and donated for this purpose.
Additionally this January 2023, I have three foosball tables set up at German Axe Throwing and we are using the location for weekly foosball tournament action like that shown to the right which is competition of 1-6-23 $200 Added! Foos-Friday Spot'DYP with seven teams participating.
~Future events scheduled for Cullman this 2023 include: $1,000 Cullman Open Foosbash and $800 Super Doubles!
