Shown to the right is "open doubles foosball tournament action" that was coordinated on this day in Leeds, Alabama where a player earning the "most outstanding performances" during the days events as coordinated was eventually named Alabama "Bad Boy" for 2023.
$1,000 Alabama "Bad Boy" FoosBash! was made up of four tournament competition events where a Georgia player, Mickey Munger, would eventually win the "Bad Boy" title and he is shown in the photo on the far side of the foosball table and playing the forward position alongside his partner for that open doubles event of which they would finished 1st place. Mickey also finished first place of open singles and 2nd place of forward shootout.

Shown to the right are the two teams of players that advanced to the championship game of the recent "2022 years-end event" that was held on Friday December 30th in Leeds, Alabama. Ten teams participated this weekly Foos-Friday Spot'DYP foosball tournament and withÊthe entry fees paid back combined with $300 cash added by the Gulledge brothers, a total of $500 prize money was created and up for grabs that these four players would eventually collect the majority$$. Players seen from the left are Dale Moore and Joel McBurnett vs. Bill McBurnett and Angelique Dodgen with Bill and Angelique remaining undefeated for the tournament and the event champions. Five females participated this particular tournament of which might be a record number here in Alabama for the past few years at least. So, move over guys as congratulations are extended to the girls and guys of this tournament championship matchup. Rodney Jenkins

Seasons greetings to you all, players and families of the "Alabama Foosball Program". Who knew that the year-of-2021 along with its' crazy situational period of "during & afterwards" of COVID would eventually usher onto most of our "wonderful world of foosball" this as it turns out to be ~an ultimate and incredible foosball-fad-for-the-ages~ that of which has, as of late, majorly ignited foosball tournament activity nationally, and probably just as much, world wide? Locally here in Alabama, but maybe not to the extent that of in other areas, there is evidence that we are experiencing its' benefit as well--and it is great! Foosball playing and tournament opportunities have increased here in Alabama, not only in the usual places, but we've also been able to create some foosball activity in a couple new locations. Foosball tournament action continues in our Alabama cities of Decatur and Madison, while in Cullman, we have finally gained a foosball location that is helping rekindle some of our past foosball tournament activity of which thrived for many years at the Bowling Center. In Leeds, where we now have a wonderful location for playing foosball, the current foosball action there is Very Hot! ...to Boiling!!.

We are now coordinating the "Every Week" Spot'DYP tournament effort in Leeds,Alabama on Fridays at 7:30pm. Furthermore, a couple players somewhat local to the Leeds area, Andy Gulledge and his brother Paul Gulledge, have committed to spicing up our tournaments with some added $$money to the entry fee pay back structure of the new effort.

Beginners, as well as, all skill levels of players are very welcome and encouraged to participate these particular Spot'DYP events as it is the very best way for anyone potentially interested in becoming a member of our community of foosball competition. No need to hesitate, jump right in and we'll help you along the rest of the way. I'm not joking...going against experienced foosball players for the first time can be very intimidating along with a few other words that we'll not dwell.... With this tournament structure you will likely pair up with players that can/will share with you information about playing the game of foosball that could take you years to learn on your own--if ever. Foosball is a unique game, it's crazy how fun the game is when you finally develop those skills needed to block shots and score goals. Who knows, you might be the one of us that becomes filthy rich playing foosball?

Back during the first of August this 2022, I had posted an announcement on the "Northwest Florida Foosball" Facebook page about my potentially spending considerable time working in the Pensacola area and that I would like to get together somewhere with anyone interested for some foosball action. I got lucky and was able to drag out a few players as a result including a couple long time Gulf Coast area foosball greats Greg McCann and Billy Miller. The photo shows us while at "Shooter's Lounge" of the Cordova Lanes in Pensacola. Mike Weaver, of Fort Walton, is another player that joined us occasionally and is who snapped the photo of which he eventually shared with me. Billy Miller, of nearby area Navarre,FL., is the person shown on the far right of the photo with Greg McCann shown in the middle. Greg now lives at Pensacola Beach but he was a long-time resident of Shalimar, Florida and he is who, upon a time ago, promoted the popular long time running foosball action held at the popular "Hell'n Back" location of Fort Walton Beach.
A few months have past now and it turns out that we have gathered on numerous occasions for lots of fun time playing foosball of which has helped me greatly keeping the rust knocked off during my time spent in the area. I did eventually make it over to Mobile, Alabama to play with the locals that frequent the "Pelican Reef" where it was nice meeting and seeing several players that I had not seen in a very long time, including Jay Trubee and Lee McDonald. I got to meet and play some games with Tour professional player, Paul Renken, of which is a somewhat active player on the foosball Tour from Alabama these days. Paul lives in Spanish Fort, Alabama and is a very skilled foosball player. I will likely continue to be in the Pensacola area on occasion since my daughter, Claire, now lives there. Hopefully, I'll get to continue seeing all of you periodically at the foosball table.
