How about an opportunity for some Foosball-For-Fun playing action? Along with an opportunity to win special foosball prizes to be given away by the Alabama Foosball Program? Would you be interested participating?
If so, please reply via the link included at top of this page and let us know where you play foosball and, together, maybe we can gather others potentially interested and ultimately create some opportunities for all to show up and participate some for-fun games of foosball and/or tournament activity in your area.

Does not have to be a tournament competition or entry fees required to participate. A more relaxed playing format other than tournament contests is a round-robin type playing experience where those that enter are randomly paired with different partners for each game played and also against randomly picked opposing teams selected in the same manner. The format dictates a series of games to be played for a particular time span after which, players collecting the most wins and/or points scores can be declared victors of the event and earning the winning title and/or prizes offered.

...As you know, the year-2025 newly created World Foosball Tour presented it's World Championships of Foosball during the past few days, August 27-31st, all taking place at the beautiful Hyatt Regency of New Orleans,LA. A HUGE event and a fun time for the more than 700 player-participants that attended and took part in the opportunity to battle it out with the best-of-the-best players for what was certain to become the year's most prestigious championship titles that foosball has going at this point in time: 2025.

Quite a few players from our Alabama Foosball areas made the trip and competed events with note-worthy finishing results. Visit on Facebook and see all the hype, images, and resulting information surrounding the multitude of championship competitions @World Foosball Tour. Meanwhile, I want to extend additional congratulations to a long-time friend and Alabama Foosball Program participant, Ken Williams of Alexander City,AL., upon earning his "World Champion" status. The cool thing about this story is that Ken had teamed with his son, Lee, for this particular event.
Father-and-son, Ken & Lee Williams, teamed together and played foosball this past weekend in New Orleans and would battle atop a tournament field of 144 teams. Surviving double-elimination-best of three games played until finishing late Sunday night and ultimately becoming the WFT 2025 Amateur Doubles World Championship Team.
You may, or may not, remember and/or even know Lee Williams, he was a regular participant at our Southern & Alabama Foosball Program events back in the day and as a youngster playing when he was barely tall enough to see over the playfield walls of the foosball table. ~My story is that Lee eventually became quite a skilled foosball player with first perfecting a "push-shot" ability to a level of none other playing around these parts at that time. He then added to his offensive arsenal, the trending shot of that time "the walking style of front-pin-rollover-shot" of which he became extremely tough to defend upon that time. Frequently traveled along with his dad and others from Alexander City,AL and regularly attended the local, regional, and Tour foosball tournament competition events until probably sometime into his high school days of which is when he quit playing foosball-cold turkey... (I assume, began focused preparing and creating his future livelihood and eventually his lovely family). Nevertheless, a very smart dude in my opinion. Just like that, suddenly a potential contender to win any foosball tournament he participated. Then, practically at the same time, he totally disappeared the foosball tournament scene. ...No doubt, all for good reason though...
Lee Williams lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and recently surprised most all of us, including his dad, after visiting and participating our weekly DYP tournaments just over two months ago in Leeds, Alabama. Lee mentioned to me that it had been twenty-five years since the last time he had played a foosball tournament. A couple weeks later, Lee bought himself a brand new foosball table of which obviously has been put to good use judging by his performances in New Orleans this past weekend.

...Our table soccer game known to most as "foosball" seems to be somewhat on the upswing in our Southern portion of the United States these days, particularly major-tour-tournament participation. Our great city of Nashville, Tennessee hosted the recently formed World Foosball Tour's $40,000 National Championships of foosball where quite a few of our "Southern & Alabama Foosball Program" participants showed up in-large and participated the multi-tournament event.

LUCKY DOUBLES was a special event presented during the weekend that turned out to be a source of extraordinary excitement for the weekend where the field of teams to participate Lucky Doubles were randomly picked from teams of some of the different events already played during the weekend ultimately creating and providing an unexpected additional chance for players to walk away with some serious prize winnings.
Competition began and, just as expected, excitement and anticipation eventually began to build and fill the foosball tournament room. The handicap playoff format was implemented for this contest while also only one-game of foosball was to be played in order for a team to advance on the playoff bracket. Eventually as the format played out, the excitement in the room continued to grow until almost everyone in the room had gathered to cheer for the teams involved.

Shown to the right are the two teams competing the "Lucky Doubles" event championship finals match--one team representing the "rookie division" on the right while the team on the left was from "amateur division". The battle was point-for-point throughout the one-game match all the way to a match ball situation determining the event winner. Score was all-tied and down to the very last point necessary to win the championship. A well placed shot from the 5-bar by the amateur team would win the title, Allen Cory(WI) & Brotz Brian(WI), and earning the $2000 1st place prize money. The opponent and "rookie ranked" team had come close enough to potentially capture the title but.....great job anyway earning the 2nd place finish for the event was Terry Lamb(TN) & Michael Griffith(AL) collecting $1000 [PHOTO] [2]. ...Teams finishing 3rd through 8th place earned a nice cash payout as well.
Don't miss $155,000 WFT World Championships of foosball 2025 is already planned for another Southern City USA this coming August 27-31st @Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Certainly to be a great event in an outstanding area for playing foosball, hope to see you there Rodney Jenkins.

In Lexington, Kentucky while at the 2025 WFT Tour Kick-off the young Asher Darby is shown right while in foosball action of the "Junior Doubles" portion of the tournament competition along-side partner for the contest Brady Weyrowske. Shown while in pursuit of winning the mentioned contest while also is "helicopter dad", Stephen Darby, busy as well recording and supporting the eventual champs. Shoutout from the SouFooPro community in congratulations to those two youngsters and to all others for outstanding accomplishments earned at the tournament.
Another familiar becoming champ at that time and tournament is Terry Lamb of which earned 1st place of "Rookie Doubles" while teamed with Jim Smith of Bowling Green,KY. shown as well->[PHOTO] [2]

...Long time Tornado foosball player/promoter, Mary Moore, out of Lexington, Kentucky announced in 2024 that she would be retiring herself and also her popular and long-time IFP (International Foosball Promotions) business effort effective this season-ending of 2024. Meanwhile and practically at the same time, her son Ryan Moore--a foosball player also and considered a professional/master player, announced that he would be creating and operating a new foosball promotional effort, the WFT (World Foosball Tour), scheduled to launch as of January 2025.
Announcing: The "WTF" $35,000 Tour Kick-Off of foosball competition is scheduled January 30th thru February 2nd, 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky. Promises are being made that it will be GRAND!!! So, you don't want to miss it...Rodney Jenkins

I have a habit of using old printed tournament flyers and similar that I have a collection of from the past re-using them when printing the foosball tournament charts that we use often on location these days. During this process, many times the printed information on the back side grabs someone's attention and is why I do this. The information on the back of the flyers becomes somewhat of a time-capsule for some and can bring back memories and/or fun conversation for the players attending these days. This particular situation happened recently and I decided to share it via the link to follow: [SUMMER 1998]
A single page of one of the mail-out newsletters that I distributed to players via postal mail upon a time ago. Notice the locations listed where we played and the tournaments that were scheduled. It turned into a fun "flash-back" as I passed the page around the tournament room. Some remembered the time period and some did not.
